Step 1

Fill a blender jug ¾ full with crushed ice. Add the basil, ginger, lime zest and juice, sugar and tequila, then whizz until smooth. If liked, rub the top of 6 tumblers with a wedge of lime and dip into a plate of fine sea salt to create a salt rim. Divide the cocktail mixture among the 6 tumblers, top with a basil leaf and serve immediately.
