Place the tea bag in a bowl or mug. Add the hot water and sugar.

While the tea steeps, use a milk steamer to steam your milk of choice.

Tips and Warnings

  • Sweetener: Feel free to replace the granulated sugar with maple syrup instead.
  • Large Batch (serves 6): Place 6 earl grey tea bags and 2 tablespoons of sweetener into a large jar. Pour in 3 cups of hot water. Let the tea steep for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. When the tea has steeped, remove the tea bags and pour evenly into 6 mugs. Steam 3 cups of milk in batches in a milk steamer or all at once in a small saucepan on the stovetop.
